Vision
• To achieve a high professional level of governance in the state of West Bengal.
• To become one of the leading States in India through transformation of West Bengal into a knowledge-driven technologically enabled welfare society with extensive use of IT and ITeS in Governance, thereby bringing about an improvement in the daily lives of the people of the State.
Mission
• P & AR Department is committed to provide different Government Departments and their subordinate offices requisite support in achieving their goals by providing human resource, imparting training for capacity building as well as skill development and bringing in administrative reforms..
• To take various E-Governance initiatives including delivery of Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services , Government –to-Business (G2B) and Government-to-Government (G2G) services along with expanding, upgrading and strengthening of core & support IT Infrastructure for e-Governance sector in the State.
• To ensure e-literacy among the masses to reduce the so-called “digital divide”.
• To streamline and facilitate seamless G2C interactions by leveraging ICT tools
